TimeLog wishes you a Merry Christmas

This year we have chosen to save the money we usually spend on printing and sending Christmas cards to our customers and partners across Europe on something different. We have chosen to donate the money to UNICEF in Denmark for three UNICEF World Gifts: A school-in-a-box, a well and a midwife kit.

This way you indirectly take part in giving the world a nudge in a more positive direction. This is in the spirit of TimeLog's desire to be a responsible company within society – and, more importantly, in the spirit of giving during the Holiday Season.

We wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas!

School-in-a-box helps 80 children in school

Picture of school-in-a-box

The box contains basic school equipment such as books, pencils, erasers and scissors. Furthermore, the box has a clock made of wood to help teachers educate the students, pads that help the children learn how to count and laminated posters with letters to teach them the alphabet.

All of the material is contained in an aluminum box. The inside lid of the box is useful as a drawing board when used to paint on with drawing board paint which also comes with the box.

A well provides clean water

A well provides children with access to clean drinking water and protects them from many life threatening diseases.

UNICEF has designed a reliable, durable and cheap water pump that can be used by hand. The pump can bring clean water to the surface from depths as far down as 20 meters.

The water pump is a huge success and is helping to save children all over the world. More than one million pumps have already been installed.

Midwife Kit ensures clean and safe births

Every minute a woman dies in labor. A midwife kit helps to ensure many newborn babies and their mothers a clean and safe birth.

UNICEF has specially designed a midwife kit for births performed in primitive conditions. The kit contains basic medical equipment.

UNICEF is the world’s largest humanitarian children’s organization. We work on long-term developmental projects and relief aid in 156 countries.

UNICEF is not funded by the United Nations. Our work is solely paid by voluntary contributions from governments and private donations.

UNICEF’s work is based on the principle of help to self-help. When we sign on for a project the government of the particular country commits to fund the project. The practical work is performed as much as possible by the local population which is also trained to continue the project when UNICEF is no longer involved. This means that one Euro donated to UNICEF’s work in reality means between two and three EUROs in aid.
